This painting is a first glimpse into my travels in Cambodia. As I have been exploring the city I noticed ones again I’m often drawn to the overlooked and the atypically beautiful things. This small, handcrafted house by the side of the road caught my attention. I remember how much I appreciated how everything was put together.

This painting is a collage of memories from various moments and places during one evening. The house, the stunning view from the mountaintop, and the funny inscription in the cave all come together to create a narrative.
